As a Curtin student, you may be able to transfer to another Curtin global campus to gain your degree. Campus transfers are an excellent opportunity for you to enhance the global perspective of your Australian degree and prepare for a global career.

Why transfer to Curtin Colombo from another Curtin campus? 

Eligibility

To be eligible for a campus transfer, students must:

• be currently enrolled in a Curtin course*
• perform at an appropriate level in their current course

Applicants are expected to remain in the course they are admitted to for the duration of their studies at Curtin. Requests to change course are considered on a case-by-case basis and must be supported by a clear rationale showing how the new course aligns with the applicant’s academic background, career goals, and future plans.

Please note that students intending to transfer to a different course must also meet the prerequisites for that course.

Students with a conditional academic status may not be eligible. Please refer to the FAQ section for further information

How to apply

Download and complete the campus transfer request form.

 Submit your completed request form here, as follows:

  • Select International Application Enquiries – Submit a request or enquiry
  • Complete your details
  • Under ‘Reason for your request’, select ‘Submitting a new application’
  • Complete the remainder of the form
  • Attach your campus transfer request form and click ‘submit’.

If your application is successful, you will receive an offer. After you accept your offer, you will receive a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) that confirms the details about your course and tuition fees. This document can be used for your student visa application.

Apply for your Student visa. A student visa will allow you to participate in full-time study in Australia and work up to 48 hours in paid employment per fortnight while you are studying.1 Students under 18 years of age must have appropriate accommodation and welfare arrangements in place for a visa to be issued.

FAQ

If you are a Curtin student at one of our global campuses you can apply at any time; however, we recommend that you submit your application at least five months prior to the start of the semester/trimester. Check the academic calendar here.

Not all courses are offered at every campus, but if the course that you are studying or want to transfer into is delivered at the campus that you want to transfer to, you can apply for a campus transfer.

No, unless you are applying to transfer into a course that requires a higher level of English language proficiency. Note that you may need to provide evidence of English language skills when you apply for your student visa.

Your tuition fees as a Curtin international student will depend on your course. Your Letter of Offer will include an estimate of your course fees, as well as an indicative price for your first semester (payable before you commence your studies at your new campus), but our Student Fee Calculator will give you an estimate of the fees.

You must satisfy the Australian Government’s Genuine Student (GS) requirements if you wish to apply for a student visa to study in Curtin Perth campus. You may be required to submit additional documentations to meet this requirement.
