Curtin University Colombo Hosts Research Roundtable with Global Academic and Industry Leaders

Curtin University Colombo recently hosted a high-profile Research Roundtable, bringing together distinguished leaders from academia, government, and industry to explore the future of research, innovation, and collaboration. The event featured eminent voices, including the Australian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, senior academics from Curtin University, and leading experts from national institutions and industry, creating a dynamic platform for dialogue on advancing knowledge and driving real-world impact.
The panel discussion at Curtin University Colombo featured an exceptional panel of thought leaders, including H.E. Mr. Matthew Duckworth, Australian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka; Prof. Melinda Fitzgerald, DVC (Research), Curtin University, Australia; Prof. Anuji Gamage, Chairperson of the National Research Council; and Prof. Lalith Gamage, Chairman and Managing Director of Curtin Colombo.
Industry leaders also joined the panel discussion, contributing valuable perspectives from their respective fields. Among them were Dr. Narendra De Silva, General Manager of Lanka Electricity Company (LECO); Mr. Chandima Cooray, Board Member of ICTA and Chief Innovation Officer at HNB; and Prof. Chalinda Beneragama, Professor of Agriculture at the University of Peradeniya.
