Curtin University Colombo Inaugurates First AI Masters Cohort

Curtin University Colombo proudly celebrated a historic milestone with the inauguration of the first batch of students enrolled in the Master of Artificial Intelligence program.

The ceremony opened with a welcome address by Ms. Anjalie Gamage (Head – Academic Affairs), followed by an inspiring keynote from Ms. Chanukah Gunawardana (Senior Manager – Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding at IFS). Prof. Nuwan Kodagoda (Pro Vice Chancellor – SLIIT) shared the academic vision for the program, while Dr. Umanga Pilapitiya (Senior Lecturer – Computing) presented a detailed course outline.

The evening concluded with fellowship over wine and dinner, marking the beginning of this pioneering academic journey. This milestone event celebrated the commencement of Curtin University Colombo’s very first Master of Artificial Intelligence cohort, setting the stage for innovation and excellence in the field.
