Curtin University Colombo proudly celebrated its Graduation Ceremony 2026, recognising the outstanding achievements of its graduates and alumni. The evening was marked by inspiration, innovation, and excellence, as they were honored for their academic distinction, leadership, and contributions to society.

• Ekanayake Mudiyanselage Yohani Ekanayake – Curtin Award for Excellence in Bachelor of Engineering (Civil and Construction Engineering)
• Disen Dulvin Abeysirigunawardena – Curtin Award for Excellence in Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronic Engineering)
• Pratheev Manivannan – Curtin Award for Excellence in Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering)
• Don Lithira Lewhan Balasooriya – Curtin Award for Excellence in Bachelor of Engineering (Mechatronic Engineering)
• Vipuli Chithramali Abhayarathne – Curtin Award for Excellence in Bachelor of Information Technology
• Prarthanaa Ragulan – Curtin Award for Excellence in Bachelor of Computing (Software Engineering) with Distinction

• Ekanayake Mudiyanselage Yohani Ekanayake – Honored for graduating with First-Class Honours in Civil and Construction Engineering and her commitment to sports & clubs

Alumni Excellence Awards 2026

• Entrepreneurship & Innovation Award – Alagan Mahalingam, Founder of Rootcode, a globally recognized software engineering company. His mother, Mrs. Shantha Mahalingam, accepted the award on his behalf.
• Leadership & Global Impact Award – Professor Anuradha Jayakody, Head of Computer Systems Engineering at SLIIT, Curtin PhD graduate, and mentor to generations of technology leaders.
• Professional Excellence Award – Chanaki Mallikarachchi, Director of ICT at the Ministry of Digital Economy, recognized internationally for advancing digital governance and inclusion.

The Graduation Ceremony 2026 was not only a celebration of academic milestones but also a testament to the transformative power of education, innovation, and leadership. Curtin University Colombo continues to nurture graduates who inspire change and shape the future.
